Position Title: Assistant Project Manager/Customer Support Specialist

Reports to: Project Manager

Salary: $65,000-$75,000/yr

Position Summary

The Assistant Project Manager/Administrative Support Specialist is a hybrid position between RMB’s project management and customer service department. Project management support entails gathering project information and maintaining project documents, assisting with project planning and administrative tasks, and aiding in expediting efforts within RMB. Customer service duties will support the activities related to managing incoming purchase orders, maintaining customer demand and documentation portals, and entering orders into RMB’s visual enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain electronic data interchange (EDI) information/RMB schedules as required within the various customer portals; includes managing information (such as RMB commit dates and production status updates), downloading customer forecasts, and providing data to the team for review/processing
  • Interact with various departments within RMB to status the parts accurately
  • Upload updated reports to customer portals at required intervals
  • Support the sales team by entering purchase orders into the visual ERP system
  • Handle CRC processing
  • Maintain sales order revisions and delivery schedules as necessary in the visual ERP system
  • Enter and maintain return merchandise authorizations (RMAs)
  • Provide administrative support to sales, accounting, shipping/receiving, and other departments as necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or upper management
  • Handle customer interactions, including de-escalation, and customer service with professionalism

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Possess a moderate understanding of MS Office software, with an emphasis on Excel
  • Have professional experience with Aerospace Portals (preferred)
  • Possess excellent communication skills (both internal and external)
  • Have the ability to manage communications effectively with customers in person, via email, and over the phone
  • Exhibit proficient organizational skills
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn other programs specific to RMB (e.g., RMB’s ERP system and Visual Manufacturing)
  • Agree to become proficient within an agreed-upon time to support RMB requirements and its customers
  • Manifest professional business etiquette
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of all office equipment
  • Be willing to handle assigned duties beyond this job description but within the scope of the position of an Administrative Assistant


  • High school and substantial experience (minimum)
  • Bachelor’s/associate degree in business (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis on project management/engineering (ideal)
